Bruno Zehnder sen. will retire on 7 June after 43 years.

 

The PX88 sharpening steel is developed.

A top-quality product resulting from precise manufacturing techniques and state-of-the-art production technology.

It remains our best-selling sharpening steel to this day.

We are celebrating our 100th anniversary at the MEFA (Butchery Trade Exhibition) in Zurich.

At the same time, we are presenting our new logo.

The two companies,

Zehnder + Etzensperger and K. Isler AG,

move into their new commercial premises at

Rümikerstrasse 12 in Winterthur.

1979

Bruno Zehnder Jr. takes over K. Isler AG.

Hans-Kaspar Etzensperger takes over the company shares from Jakob Zehnder, who is retiring after 54 years.

The new company is called Zehnder + Etzensperger.

The public limited company K. Isler AG

is founded on 13 June 1977.

Bruno Zehnder Jr. joins K. Isler as a commercial employee.

Hans-Kaspar Etzensperger,

who later became the son-in-law of Bruno Zehnder Sr.,

joins the company J. + B. Zehnder.

1965

The brothers Jakob and Bruno Zehnder take over Karl Isler's production. The general partnership J. + B. Zehnder is founded.

Karl Isler pays off his stepbrother Max Isler and founds the company K. Isler, Butchery Tools.

1946

Karl Isler and Max Isler take over the production from Jakob Zehnder Sr., who is ill.
